As promised, below are a couple of videos that you can watch from the NBA reality show in China called “Mengniu Basketball Disciple”.
While the level of play is quite low (around US Varsity level), the show is well edited/produced and they manage to fit in quite abit into the 45 minute time allocated per show. North Korea’s next leader to be, Kim Jong-il’s third son Kim Jong-un, is said to be a big fan of NBA basketball. Kim has never been photographed by Western Media and despite being Swiss educated he has for the most part avoided Western influences.

Sun Mingming is a 7 foot 9 basketball player currently playing in the Japanese basketball league. He’s a 26 year old Chinese player from Harbin, China and weighs around 360 pounds. His early career was not the easiest for this young player blessed with incredible height:
