CBA Salary Cap
One of the biggest basketball developments during this year’s offseason that largely went unreported in the Western media was the CBA’s introduction of a salary cap. The Chinese Basketball Association has been under large scrutiny recently for A) failing to produce top quality Chinese players B) not creating an exciting or marketable product in a country where basketball is loved and C) failing to generate sustainable revenue leading to many teams facing near bankruptcy.

LeBron James, Chris Paul, and Kobe Bryant were just some of the big names that paid visit in hopes of promoting themselves further in the Chinese market and connect with their millions of fans.

That’s right, forget all those melodramatic and exagerated oppinions that Yao Ming could be done as a basketball player. Apparently, there’s a chance that he could return to play with the Houston Rockets as early as this season.
Yao Ming has apparently been busy lifting weights, and adding a new weapon to his aresnal: shooting the ball seated. All the best to him as he will begin working on his rehabilitation.
It was announced several weeks ago that the Denver Nuggets and the Indiana Pacers would be playing an exhibition match in Taipei – on the 8th of October. Now we find that there will also be a game on the 11th of October in Beijing, China.
It will be played in the newly furnished Wukesong Arena – one of the first “NBA-ready” arenas in China. The two teams will travel along with their cheerleading squads and mascots to provide the full NBA experience.
