- Take-Two will release an exclusive online NBA game in China based on it’s popular NBA 2k Franchise.
- In last month’s NBA China news roundup I reported the Indiana Pacers would be playing an exhibition match against the Denver Nuggets in Taipei. The match will be on the 8th of October at the 12,874 capacity Taipei Arena. Despite the relatively recent official announcement, the match has already been sold out.
- Lenovo has released the Y450A-TSI NBA laptop, which is on sale for around 6000RMB (880$) and looks pretty cool with the mini-NBA court mouse trackpad.
- Yi Jianlian, China’s second best player after Yao Ming, is reportedly working hard on his upper body strength and will most probably get his starting position back for the New Jersey Nets.
- Kenny Huang, the man behind the Chinese investment in the Cleveland Cavaliers, has also plans to develop baseball in China.
- New Jersey Nets cheerleader Jaclyn has been in Shanghai and blogging about her experience being a judge and mentor at the “Dance Passion” NBA reality show for cheerleaders in China. The show will air in a couple of weeks on CCTV.
- Yao Ming wisely calls for the Chinese national basketball team to give more opportunities to younger players.
